Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

At De Lacy Primary School every pupil is valued and is given the opportunity to make the most of their education. It is important that everyone knows that they are an important member of the school community, regardless of their particular needs.

We give pupils with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) the support they need, along with a broad and balanced curriculum. We work closely with families to help their children succeed and go on to the next stage of their education with confidence. We aim high with all of our pupils, and we expect their results to be the best that they can be showing progress in every area.

Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) is in charge of our SEND work at De Lacy and organises support for individual pupils, including those who have Educational Health and Care plans.
