James is already a member of our leadership team having previously been Headteacher at Halfpenny Lane so is already very familiar with De Lacy Primary school. He has a clear picture of the school and the community it serves. We wish him well in his new role and look forward to celebrating and supporting him with his new endeavours and achievements.
James Parkinson, Headteacher at De Lacy Primary School said: “I am looking forward to implementing the Trust wide consistent approaches to teaching and learning that incorporates a rich and broad curriculum that engages the pupils and families of De Lacy Primary.
“As I started my new role at De Lacy, we quickly found ourselves moving through another period of national lockdown. Though it is more operational, I am enjoying the challenge of steering the school through this tough period of time. Being able to support staff, pupils and families ensuring we all remain as safe as possible while still delivering an effective live learning platform so that children can maintain a good level of education. “
